Q. What do I need to bring with me on a guided trip?
A. Fishing License, sun glasses, sun screen, any snacks you wish to bring, and proper clothing for the weather conditions (Rain suit, hat etc. and bring along a camera if you like).
Q. How many people can I bring on board for the guided trip?
A. Max capacity for Ranger is 4 including the guide. Additional guest or tag-along-boats will need advance notice to make proper arrangements.
Q. RC, do you offer any special discounts for Veterans or Military?
A. Yes, I offer 15% discounts to Veterans, Military, Police, Fire, Rescue, and EMS.
Q. Are we suppose to tip our guide at the end of the day?
A. Just like any service industry, tipping is not mandatory, but if your guide has worked hard to give you a great day out on the water, it would be appreciated I am sure.
Q. RC, can we bring our own lures and tackle?
A. I provide all equipment and tackle for the trip, however, if the client feels more comfortable using their own equipment and tackle, for the sake of their experience they may bring their own, but the guide will recommend what to be use, but if not, the “No Fish No Pay” policy will not be in effect.
Q. What happens if it rains, or we have bad weather?
A. In cases of severe weather in the forecast, we can make prior arrangements. However, in most cases, I fish in all weather conditions. As a professional angle, I have trained in extreme weather types; however for the safety of my clients I will let the client make the decision and judgment call. The trip is for the client's enjoyment and I want them to feel safe at all times.
Q. How far in advance do I need to book a fishing trip?
A. I require a three weeks advance notice to assure availability. Additional charges may apply if booking within the three week time-frame.
Q. RC are we allowed to keep any of the fish?
A. No. We only practice catch and release. If you would like a mount of the fish that you catch, I can give you contact information for a company that make quality fiberglass mounts. This is so we may preserve our fish population/environment.
Q. If I don't own a camera, can you take pictures of the fish for me?
A. All photos taken, you will be able to view on line at rccooper.com. Per your request I will make a 5 X 7 or 8 X 10 copy and mail it to you.
Q. What if I have to cancel my trip on short notice?
A. All canceled trips will require a notification as soon as possible. The deposit is non refundable, but if the trip was paid for in advance, we will re-schedule the trip for a later date that is convenient to the client.
Q. How much is your deposit?
A. $75.00 deposit is required three weeks in advance. Balance is due by the day of our trip.
Q. Will I be able to purchase any gear or other items used on the guiding trip?
A. Yes, I can make arrangement for you to be able to purchase most of those items thru my sponsors.
