Earlier last month I wrote an article describing my first impression on the initial testing of the Project Black Bird 920 Pro XP. To say the least, I was extremely impressed. In this article I am going to highlight a few of the “add-on’s” that help this bird really take flight as well as bring you all up to speed on how the performance testing is going. The team at USA Marine and Barry’s Trolling Motor Repair got the new 2014 Phoenix 920 Pro XP (AKA the Shadow Hawk from Project Black Bird) ready for break-in just before I had to leave for the 2013 FLW Everstart on Lake Champlain. Between filming for sponsors and www.huntvids.com, training with guides, guiding my own clients, marshaling for the Bassmaster Elite Series, and pre-fishing and competing in B.A.S.S. events I never really had time to sit back and reflect upon what I had learned throughout the season until now.
